I hear you on the overlap worries — I've had a WIP for months with certain things happening, and then I read one of the SGA Santa stories this year and kept checking off bizarre echoes from my own unfinished story. It was eerie, and now I feel like I'll look like I copied! ::sadface:: (Heh. Despite the weirdly similar moments, I do go somewhere completely different with it, but still.)

No worries on the other story — I got one response to go where I planned and one saying to do something else, so I'm thinking, and I have an unrelated creepy-bad-wrong story in beta at the moment — though certainly I'd welcome and value any feedback if you did decide to check it out.
