I've been meaning to come back for this, and have only just now found a spare moment. I really like the originality and world-building you do here; this is a nicely realized AU. In fact, the amount of original work is such that I think this is one of those stories which could have the serial numbers filed off of it and go pro, actually. Which is not to say that the characters aren't recognizably well done, mind you, because they are. The elements you used for each character work well, and I love the solid, Earth-ly way Teyla runs her 'house and takes care of her Wheel. The plot was also compelling and well-paced, and the warm, protective, mututally respectful and loving emotional dynamics made me grin like an idiot with pure team-love glee countless times.
