This is absolutely amazing world building. The elements that you chose to represent each character are exactly spot on; I was amused at how well each personality matched.

I also love that this is a story about Rodney and Teyla without being a Rodney/Teyla. They compliment each other very well. I always wished that they had done more with those two together on the show.

Your Teyla pov is excellent; that tends to be pov that I don't generally read as a lot of authors don't really do her justice and she comes off feeling more of a caricature of herself rather than a real person. You very neatly avoid that trap.
