Hi, I'm here via Sholio's post regarding you looking for a new home for those novels and then followed the track back to this.

I'm impressed. Some of the issues you mention here I noticed as well and beyond that you explained a lot that stood out to me but couldn't pin down what exactly it was that bothered me (and why). Reading this, a lot of my feelings when reading make a lot of sense now.
