Here because of curiosity, and now quaking in my boots at having asked you to beta my fic! Not that I disagree with the comments you've made above (especially as I haven't read the book, and don't intend to), but I'm interested at the high standard to which you're holding the author. Again, not that I disagree, but would I be right in thinking that you hold fanfiction to a (considerably) higher standard than the writers of the original canon? So good fanfiction that isn't an AU somehow has to use canon and be canon-compliant, while fixing (or at least not worsening) the inherent errors and illogicalities of canon? It's an interesting point - one I hadn't thought of before because SGA's my drug so I'm not all that picky (or knowledgable about canon). And I'm a relatively recent fan so I haven't read all the meta on this that I'm sure is out there. Anyway, interesting review.
