Doctor Who 5x03 Yet Another Dalek / Round and Around

(No spoilers in this post; no guarantees for comments.)

Is it just me, or was that a hot mess?

Why yes, I did make a Pink Floyd allusion with the fake episode title. Because I'm just that random. But srsly: Daleks again?

Ugh I'm so bored with the Daleks. In fact, I'm pretty sure there was never a point where I wasn't bored of those lame screechy robots. I don't get that the writers don't seem to realize that they're only making them lamer by bringing them out time and time again. They're starting to suffer from Borg complex. It's not believable that these are the scariest motherf*ckers in the galaxy, when the doctor keeps killing them off in a single ep. (only for one of them to survive *gag*).

And seriously: I get that they needed the doc for their plot to work, but how exactly did they convince Churchil to invite him over for tea and cookies?

Yeah, I dunno, I strangely enjoyed the episode. But at the same time I could totally recognize all the many many many problems with it. I think I just have an instinctive reaction to enjoy Doctor Who no matter how uninspiring it actually is.

Also I've never actually been a fan of the Daleks, so the fact that they're back, yet again? Gah. But then, they're never going to get rid of the Daleks entirely -- they're the Dotor's archnemesis!!!1!!11! Personally? I'd much rather have the Master come back again and again and again.
