It's not actually possible for a work at AO3 to have three times as many kudos as hits, right? I'm thinking I should probably report a suspected bug, though I don't know enough about the Archive's code to know if there's anything anyone could do to sort out which, if any, of the 49 newest guest kudos on one of my stories is actually real.

(I suspect that the 49 should be a 1, honestly, but that something got "stuck" while trying to post.)

It was kinda flattering for a hot minute, LOL.

That'd be a weird holiday promotion, ghost kudos.

I heard on Tumblr that there is some kind of bug where some stories suddenly get dozens if not hundreds of extra guest kudos. Last I heard, a few weeks ago, some suspected that it was a side-effect of some kind of website scraper, and AO3 couldn't fix it.

That is very strange -- and rude of whoever is causing it -- but also interesting. Glad to have an explanation; thank you!
