I hate people

If you have a pet that needs twice-daily medication (that you skip every weekend because you and the spouse go to the Cape, and it's not like you see any need to change that) so that it won't starve to death from its thyroid disorder, if you "can't possibly afford" $20/day to board the pet somewhere that will medicate it while you're away for three weeks, you can't afford to go on a three-week vacation. Because keeping a dependent animal alive comes before vacations.

And you certainly shouldn't expect me to nod and agree with you that, well, what can you do but leave the pet untreated and vaguely hope it survives three weeks of starvation.
