Typical holiday

I'm not Christian and so don't celebrate Christmas. It's just as well: I can't persuade the BBC's web player to let me watch the Doctor Who Christmas special; I'm coming down with yet another cold; and I've just discovered that about nine inches of stretchy string are missing from the cats' current favorite toy and are presumably inside the girlcat. Fanfic rec: "Written by the Victors" (SG:A)

I'm not usually much of one for fan fiction, for a variety of reasons. I would however like to recommend the Stargate: Atlantis fiction "Written by the Victors". I think it does a brilliant job of capturing the voices and personalities of each canon character while maintaining its own inspired complexity and humor (as well as including passages of explicit slash sex, which: you have been warned).
